Straight from Berlin, where we were held up for a week due to a Chinese Typoon, we’re mega excited to announce that Asha & I will be embarking on 17+ show tour of VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD & TAS in september! We’re playing a few favorite venues in Byron Bay and Hobart, and also new venues and towns.. we’d love to get everyone along to these shows so grab the facebook event (to your right) and share it around..

Berlin was incredible and we’ve already started planning the 2012 tour (they book sooooo far in advance over there) here’s a bootleg vid of us playing in Alexanderplatz.. a big tourist spot in Berlin.. enjoy and see you on the road!

The good times continue, all the way to Europe where we’ve always wanted to play..
After a very successful and great time in Brazil, Asha and I have decided to keep the tour bus rollin by engaging in street performing in Berlin along with a small amount of club shows.. We’ll be joined by Bianca Aviaz on Djembe and Ed Primo from Brazil will be painting along side the band…      L@@k 0Ut for us around Berlin this summer !!

To Celebrate the release we are announcing our Australian Tour dates…
First up WA where we have been invited to play the almost sold out Nukara Festival near Geraldton, along with sideshows at Indi Bar & Mojo’s.

Then Asha and myself will be heading to TAS, NSW & QLD.

A little on Rio Claro..

Jarrah Thompson has announced the release of his 2^nd Album ‘RIO CLARO’. Rio Claro (March 2011) was named after the town in Brazil where the band stayed for six weeks of their recent tour and encapsulates the raw energy and rock edge, typical of a Jarrah Thompson live music experience.

Since his blazing debut release, ‘Stargazer’, guitar-wielding troubadour Jarrah Thompson, has toured Australia extensively, wowing audiences with his fuzzed out wah-rock and epic guitar/flute jams. Described as ‘the Australian trade name for Led Zeppelin’, Thompson and his new band lineup get set to tour the country from March 18^th to April 17^th before another stint in Brazil and for their debut appearance in Europe.

Thompson reveals ‘Rio Claro’ “is a much more personal album with real events and real experiences, whereas Stargazer mostly developed from open jams and experimentation”. Although the new album still maintains his trademark blues/rock/soul sound, accompanied by flute player Asha Henfry, Chris Cameron on percussion and Bruno Padoveze on bass. The album will be available independently.
